Commissioned
by "Friends of Brokwell park" for a day in the park.
The theme was to celebrate insects.

The Flamingo sculpture is Nathalie Palisance's
contribution to the Friends of Brokwell Park, who organise every
year a walk that consists on rediscovering nature, working through
5 different parks through Lambeth. The flamingo was also an inspiration
that she had while giving a series of sculpture workshops were
children created their own birds in view of the above event. The
Flamingo is made of recyle and re-usable material.
The
Fish sculpture was made with recycling material: non-recyclable
plastic, bottle tops, fabric and newspaper. The bones, structure
of fish, are made of wire collected from a metal scrap yard.
The fish was initially made to serve as a model for a two days
sculpture workshops that I ran at Lambeth Country show. At a
later stage this fish was exhibited and won a prize with the
Lambeth art department.
